Live Nation, the parent company of Ticketmaster, confirmed it found “unauthorized activity” within a cloud database that contained data from Ticketmaster in a filing to the SEC on Friday. The filing comes after a data broker advertised alleged Ticketmaster data impacting more than 500 million users for sale along with a sample of the data, and after 404 Media obtained a larger sample allegedly of the stolen information which is linked to genuine user accounts on Ticketmaster’s website.
