A version of the megaviral “All Eyes on Rafah” AI-generated image that has been shared millions of times this week was posted as early as February by a different artist in a Facebook group of Malaysian AI image generation enthusiasts. The original version had a watermark showing the original AI artist’s name and a note that explained it was AI generated. The version that has gone wildly viral on Instagram appears to have been edited to have the watermark removed and to be more shareable in a vertical format.
